## Hero

fliix Ops vs. N-able

**Keep N-able for MSP automation. Add fliix Ops for the Windows device.**

N-able remains N-central for larger and N-sight for smaller MSPs: monitoring, automation, patching, Take Control for remote access and, in preview, the AI assistant N-zo. fliix Ops does not replace that RMM. Beside it, technicians administer Windows clients and servers directly, guided by findings rated by your policy, with AI only as an option.

## Verdict

Verdict

**N-able and fliix Ops are stronger together when automation and the device both matter.**

Keep N-able to standardise and automate many customers on several platforms, with backup and security as further products. Add fliix Ops where technicians need the actual Windows state and the tools to fix it, without replacing N-able. N-zo remains a preview in N-central 2026.2.

**The Windows gap beside N-able**

Interactive administration of the individual Windows client or server: terminal, files, registry, disks and Hyper-V, guided by findings rated by your policy.

**Stronger together**

N-able keeps automation, cross-platform patching and recorded Take Control sessions. fliix Ops is the technician workspace for hands-on Windows work beside that RMM.

**Keep N-able for**

Extensive automation, patching of operating systems and third-party software on Windows, macOS and Linux, and recorded remote sessions.

## Fit

Combined use

**Keep N-able for automation, and add a Windows workspace**

**Keep N-able when …**

#### Points

- Many customers should run on standard automation policies.
- Third-party software should be patched automatically on several platforms.
- Remote sessions must be recorded.
- Backup and security should come from the same vendor.

**Add fliix Ops when …**

#### Points

- Technicians still work interactively on the individual Windows device.
- Findings rated by your policy should lead straight to the matching tool.
- Windows servers need the same hands-on tools as clients.
- AI should stay optional and run with your own key.

**Stronger together when …**

#### Points

- N-able keeps automation policies, cross-platform patching and recorded sessions.
- fliix Ops is the workspace for terminal, files, registry and disks on Windows.
- N-zo stays what the N-central 2026.2 release notes call it: a preview.
- Neither product is asked to replace the other.

## Limits

Openly stated

**What fliix Ops does not cover**

These points matter most when comparing with N-able.

- No macOS, Linux or mobile devices; the Windows Agent manages Windows only.
- No scheduled scripts or automated remediation workflows; bulk actions are started by a technician.
- No freely configurable performance monitoring with own thresholds; for this, fliix Ops can install and connect Zabbix Agent 2.
- fliix Ops does not record remote sessions.
- No backup and no management reporting.
- The AI assistance is in Beta and needs your own AI key; your AI provider bills its usage.

## Faq

FAQ

**Common questions about fliix Ops and N-able**

**Q:** Can fliix Ops replace N-able?

No. It does not replace the automation, cross-platform patching or the further products of N-able. Add the fliix Ops Windows Agent beside it when technicians still need the device itself: terminal, files, registry and findings rated by your policy.

**Q:** How does the AI differ from N-zo?

N-zo is a preview in the N-central 2026.2 release notes. It works on the data N-able already collects and uses AI credits from N-able. The fliix Ops AI reads data directly on the Windows device with read-only tools when you start it, suggests a fix and runs with your own AI key. It is optional and in Beta.

**Q:** Which product is cheaper?

That cannot be answered responsibly without device counts, modules and contract terms. Compare quotations for your actual use case.

**Q:** Can both products be used together?

Yes. N-able can cover automation and patching while fliix Ops serves as the hands-on workspace for Windows systems.
